Average Monthly Billing Option

The Average monthly billing option levels out the billing on an account and eliminates the highs of summer heating, winter cooling and the lows of milder times in between.

Here's how the program works...

The current month’s kilowatt hour (kwh) usage is added to the past 11 month’s kwh usage and this total is divided by 12 to get the average monthly usage and is billed at current month billing rate. Any other adjustments (i.e. Security lights and Windworks REC’s) will be listed separately on the bill.

By using this method, we’re able to average your electric bill over the most recent 12 months and eliminate the possibility of a big “Catch-up” bill and the end of the year. This plan is conducive to budgeting as it levels your annual usage.

Here are the Requirements...
  • Have a 12 month billing history with SEC
  • No unpaid balance
  • No history of returned checks
  • Must agree to pay the average bill on time. Two late payments within the last 12 months will constitute removal from the program.
  • Upon removal from the program the total balance on the account is due and payable.
  • Average monthly billing is only available to residential and farm services
  • Credit history must reflect good payment record.

Bank Draft Payment Option

If you'd like to save time and postage, and write fewer checks, we can help.

If you’d like to save time and postage, and write fewer checks, SEC can help!

Southeastern Electric offers the option of having your electric bill paid by bank draft. No worry about payments being delayed or lost in the mail. No worry about payments when on vacation or out of town, the bank draft offers convenience and peace of mind at no extra charge.

The process is simple: A bank draft authorization form is filled out, signed and returned by the member. A voided check (or copy) and the complete mailing address of the bank is also provided. These forms are then sent to the member’s bank authorizing the monthly electric bill payment to be made automatically. The billing amount is deducted automatically from the member’s bank balance between the 3 rd and 6 th of each month. The member will still receive his or hers monthly bill in the mail; it will show the amount of billing for the month, and will state “Bank Draft.”
